Sinotruk Datong Gear Co., Ltd. (Datong Gear Company), a subsidiary fully owned by China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (Sinotruk), is situated in the Datong Equipment Manufacturing Park, Shanxi Province. It serves as an important component manufacturing base for Sinotruk. The company covers an area of nearly 1000mu, with total assets valued at RMB1.69 billion. It currently employs over 1,600 staff, including more than 200 technical professionals. The company has now established a product structure in gearbox research and manufacturing, featuring three major technical platforms: Japanese, European, and American. It incorporates various technical routes such as full synchronizers, dual intermediate shafts, planetary mechanisms, and AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The gearboxes apply torque ranging from 300 to 2700Nm and can be matched with engines ranging from 130 to 560 horsepower. The products cover a full range of vehicle types including light, medium, heavy-duty, and passenger vehicles. The company’s engine gears and engineering machinery gears are primarily supplied to Cummins' seven global factories, as well as companies like New Holland, AGCO, and JCB.
